Schmooze Opens Catering Bistro

Schmooze Event Management has opened a gourmet bistro with eat-in and take-out catering service. Owner Lisa Laudenbach launched West Studio Cuisine to serve corporate clients. The facility offers a gourmet menu from chef David Sneddon, with small-order delivery options, on-site chef services, full-service corporate event catering, and even use of the venue for private functions in the evenings and weekends (regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM). West Studio's colour scheme marries chocolate brown and marine blue. There are vintage chandeliers and furnishings made from the floorboards of an old Niagara-area farmhouse. The menu includes warm appetizers like pulled roast chicken with Mexican spices and avocado on crostini and cool appetizers such as mini procini and oyster mushroom frittatas, all for $2.50 apiece. Platters start at $5 per person and salads start at $7 per plate. For larger events, serving stations, buffet stations, and chef-manned stations are available.
