New Chef Named For 1200 Courtyard Grill

Taormina, Sicily-born chef Gino Cipriano, who previously worked as executive sous-chef for Rome's Hotel Intercontinental and executive chef for Paris' Emporio Armani Restaurant & Caffe, has now come to the states to take on another upscale position—this time, as the chef de cuisine for the Biltmore Hotel's 1200 Courtyard Grill in Coral Gables. This venue features a Mediterranean-style indoor café and a fountain shaded by palm trees and tropical vegetation outside. The menu includes steaks, chops, entrée sandwiches, pastas, and saltwater fish char-grilled or wood-oven roasted.
