The Wit Hotel (which we first wrote about in August) is slated to open in the Loop in May. The property recently released details of its three on-site eateries, which will all be operated by Atlanta-based Concentrics Restaurants.
On the hotel's ground level, American spot State and Lake will feature an interior decked with cork floors, leather walls, and a bar made of antique wood. The venue is scheduled to open this spring and will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Italian restaurant Cibo Matto, slated for a late-summer opening, will be located on the hotel's second floor. Features of the space will include a glass-enclosed salumi and cheese display, a chef's table in the kitchen, and a wine vault stocked with 4,000 bottles.
The Wit's 27th floor will house the 7,000-square-foot Roof, which will specialize in small plates paired with gourmet cocktails. Groups will be able to dine in a large private-party room, and a glass-enclosed extension will house a table for eight. The restaurant's patio, outfitted with fire pits and communal tables, will be open year-round.
