The An family, owners of the Beverly Hills restaurant Crustacean, opened a new space known as AnQi at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa earlier this month. The new gourmet bistro and noodle bar is available for buyout and holds 282 for seated events or 500 for receptions. The dining area measures 8,500 square feet.
AnQi also has two private dining rooms. One includes a private bar and has room for 38 for seated events. The other room, known as the chef's table, is also completely private, but allows guests a peek into the kitchen where the staff prepares family recipes. It seats 21.
The menu includes what it bills as healthy gourmet Vietnamese-fusion cuisine, with a noodle bar serving dishes like An’s Famous Garlic Noodles. AnQi's menu is new and less expensive than Crustacean, also includes that eatery's roasted crab dish.
Decor at AnQi includes wood floors and a palette of brown, purple, blood orange, and teal. Streams and rocks run through the space. The restaurant also includes a glass catwalk over a stream.
