From cupcakes to bonbons, here are three new cooking classes focused on satisfying the sweet tooth.
1. Groups can learn how to create French macaroons from four-star pastry chef Fabrice Bendano during his monthly pastry class at Adour at the St. Regis Hotel. The interactive class, held in the kitchen at Adour, also includes instruction on additional pastries of the chef’s choosing. The two-and-a-half-hour class costs $75 per person.
2. Hello Cupcake’s cupcake decorating class teaches participants how to perfect icing swirls and monograms and how to create icing flowers. The two-hour class for groups of six or more covers all types of decorations and includes a dozen cupcakes to take home. Classes cost $70 per person.
3. Artisan Confections unveils the secrets to making its artistic bonbons during its two-hour artisanal chocolate classes with chocolatier Jason Andelman. Groups of eight to 12 can learn the candy-making process from start to finish and go home with a box of original creations. The classes cost $75 per person.
