This week's roundup includes superhero-theme newspapers at The Tick's after-party in New York, a Macy's dessert-inspired runway at Dessert Goals in Brooklyn, LED octopus lights at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, and a beach ball-filled attic at the Awesomeness Beach House in Santa Monica.

The latest edition of the dessert festival was sponsored by Macy’s, which hosted a fashion runway that featured dessert-theme props.

The summer edition of Dessert Goals took place August 19 to 20 at Dobbin St in Brooklyn. Designed by founders Miraya Berke and Liang Shi, the event offered a rainbow, cotton candy-inspired photo backdrop and a rainbow unicorn pool float prop to pose with.

Vendors included Black Tap, which debuted a mini version of its Bam Bam shake that was topped with Fruity Pebbles, a Pop-Tart, and a Nerds Rope.

The after-party for the new Amazon superhero series took place August 16 at Industria—West Village in New York. Produced by MKG, the event featured the exterior of Goat’s Deli—a venue from the show—which had clever takes on traditional signs.

A newsstand included customized newspapers—not unlike the Daily Planet of Superman comics—as well as magazines.

Multimedia company Awesomeness rented a beach house in Santa Monica to host programming and events from July 25 to August 6. The attic was transformed into the “Awesomeness Infinity Beach Room,” creating a unique space for photo ops. The lighting in the room changed colors for each event, and twinkle lights, beach balls, and large mirrors added to the effect. Mirrored Media produced the event.

The house was full of playful, Instagram-friendly details, such as flower vases that spelled out the letters "OMG."

Decor throughout the property included displays of tongue-in-cheek sayings such as "awesome AF" and "beach please."

Brian Worley, former co-owner of YourBash, designed the V.I.P. tent for this year’s Teen Choice Awards, which took place August 13 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Blue, pink, and purple octopi and fish bowls at a branded bar added to the tent’s nautical theme.

Table decor included LED octopus night lights.
