Winter Ball was the name of the Miami Art Museum's (MAM) biggest fund-raiser of the year, and the Radisson Hotel Miami got frosted with icy decor for the evening.
Laura Krisko, MAM's event coordinator, along with Abbey Chase of Chase Marketing Group, put together an elegant evening for the museum's supporters.
Barton G transformed the hotel's ballroom into a snowy wonderland with a palette of winter white and cool blue. Centerpieces overflowing with white roses and hydrangeas towered over glass vases filled with white candles. At one end of the room, a row of bare-branched trees was placed in front of a backdrop of a snow-covered forest, which complemented the shimmering metallic linens and silver chairs.
Guests nibbled on hors d'oeuvres from a Chinese buffet, and sampled hot and cold appetizers at another station while taking advantage of the two premium bars provided by Bacardi. Celebrity chef Michele Bernstein customized the dinner menu for MAM, and the Radisson's caterers whipped it into reality with dishes like lobster bisque, chestnut soup, and braised short ribs.
More than 800 guests mingled and partook in a silent auction. Coach sponsored a unique game entitled Artful Chances. For $300, guests received a black or white Coach Hamptons weekend tote. Tucked inside were surprise gifts like theater tickets or top prizes such as a weeklong stay at the Canyon Ranch in Miami or $1,000 gift certificates for Saks Fifth Avenue or Yves Saint Laurent.
The night culminated with an after-party in a room adjacent to the ballroom, where the winter white theme continued with patrons lounging on comfy white couches and where late-night snacks were laid out on white-cloth-covered tables.

Barton G created an ethereal winter haven with a white, silver, and blue color scheme for the Miami Art Museum's Winter Ball.

A snowy forest was the perfect backdrop to the icy decor of the tables at the Radisson Hotel Miami.

One of the tables provided by the Radisson Hotel Miami featured hors d'oeuvres, a watermelon sculpture, and a fountain.

In the lobby, the hotel's catering department sculpted a canoe made out of ice and filled it with premium liquor bottles.
