Tent Poll: How Do You Like the Sets?

Sometimes runway shows are as much about the experience as they are about the clothes. So we hit the tents at Bryant Park over the weekend to ask audience members what shows have had the most impact.

Which shows have caught your eye?

"L.A.M.B., Gwen Stefani's show, had a huge screen that flashed images to either match or counter the clothes as the models walked. They also played her music, which was a nice touch."
—Gregory O'Shea, PR lead, Mercedes-Benz East

"I loved the Miss Sixty show. The floor had ovals of yellow, gray, and white. It was pretty different."
—Essie Weingarten, founder, Essie Cosmetics
"Catherine Maladrino's show was at the Chelsea Art Museum. The space was huge and beautiful and really complemented the collection."
—Cindy Jin, fashion and entertainment editor, World Picture Network

"Carolina Herrera had a great sense of occasion. Everything about the show was very chic. It just took you someplace emotionally."
—Joe Richardson, national brand manager,
Mercedes-Benz USA

"I loved the production for G-Star, especially the music. It was great—they had the models on a [moving sidewalk] so they just stood there and rolled down the runway."
—Cindy Jones, fashion writer and founder,
Style Media News

"Diane von Furstenberg was fantastic. The music was great. I think choosing the music takes a lot; you only have 15 minutes or so to present, so you have to choose carefully. Diane is so energetic, it just comes across in everything associated with her. Oscar de la Renta also has an amazing production every time. Everything from the design to the staff has a terrific flair."
—Afshin Haghani, Gallery Couture

"Gottex was stunning. The models crisscrossed on the runway; it was very unique."
—E.J. Jacobs, fashion writer

"Temperley London had great music and an interesting, elegant setup. Their invitation and all of their marketing was very unique and really caught our attention. Vera Wang's music corresponded very well with the clothes. Max Azria definitely had the most celebrities! The Academy of Art University topped it all in terms of a spectacle. Everything about it was a work of art."
