The TimesCenter, located in the heart of Manhattan, introduced three major technological upgrades on September 1 in its continuing efforts to offer state-of-the-art service and event resources to clients. The venue installed a Yamaha CL5 Digital Audio Console. The industry-leading, 80-channel mixing board and digital reinforcement system promotes tremendous audio engineering flexibility for TimesCenter clients and their events, including multipanel conferences, live or live-to-tape TV events, film screenings, and musical performances.
The TimesCenter also added extensive LED lighting systems to its Stage (16 ColorForce12 units in the grid) and Hall and Gallery spaces (25 ColorForce12 uplight units), allowing for even greater creative functionality throughout the venue without the cost of using a third-party lighting vendor.
Finally, the TimesCenter added a fiberoptic connection to a teleport hub, allowing for direct broadcast transmission from the venue to virtually anywhere in the world.
