A 33-foot Airstream motor home served a dual purpose at the booth by sunglass-maker Costa: It provided meeting space for up to 15 people and also was a key piece of decor for the retro, beach-like atmosphere the company was trying to create.

Suspended mirrors were strategically placed behind the groves of trees at dinner to magnify their presence. Van Wyck brought in redbud and sycamore trees ranging in height, from 12 to 14 feet tall, and an array of rich colors, like burgundy, plum, and blood red.

Atlantic Media White House Correspondents’ Weekend Welcome Dinner

Atlantic Media owner David Bradley hosted a dinner at his home on Friday night. The tent in the backyard had an African theme meant to raise awareness of the fight against malaria. Photos from a United Nations exhibit hung near tables with African-print tablecloths.

For lighting, the design team used more than 870 candles suspended from the ceiling. Several chandeliers were strategically placed throughout the dining room, including two different types of glass, globe-shaped fixtures. LED screens hung on either side of the room, giving guests a closer look at the stage presentation.

ESPN ESPY Awards After-Party

Unlike last year’s outing, which took over the multilevel indoor-outdoor setting of the Palladium, the after-party for ESPN’s ESPY Awards on July 11 was held inside the JW Marriott L.A. Live. To make it feel less like a ballroom, Precision Event Group incorporated videos and still imagery into the design, created a trilevel structure for the bar, installed patterned fabrics on the walls, and placed modern furnishings throughout.

UrbanDaddy & Stoli's "White Room" Event

UrbanDaddy's "white room" event—an affair created in partnership with Stoli to promote the vodka brand's new campaign and flavors—invited guests to create the night's decor using paint and brushes. The November party in New York also supplied its attendees with lab coats and goggles to protect clothes from their creative tasks.

On Tuesday, Stella McCartney presented its fall 2013 collection at New York’s 680 Park Avenue, building a series of vignettes for models to lounge in and around. In keeping with the designer’s quirky style, the event filled the ceiling with pink helium-filled balloons.

Winter Illuminations Festival

This year's Winter Illuminations festival in Japan displayed more than seven million sparkling LED lights spread across the grounds of the Nabana no Sato botanical garden, part of the Nagashima Onsen resort area in Kuwana City. The annual festival runs for five months, between November and March, and every year millions visit to witness the stunning display of lights, one of the largest wintertime illumination events in the country.

As guests entered New York's Metropolitan Museum through the Great Hall for the Costume Institute gala, they met a 24-foot-tall cynlinder covered in 40,000 roses from Colombia and Ecuador with a lip pattern inspired by Schiaparelli and Prada designs. A team of 150 staffers worked to prepare the floral decor.

On Saturday, the Art of Elysium hosted its annual Heaven gala, with a look Visionary award honoree and designer Colleen Atwood described as attempting to make "guests feel like they are at the horizon between the sky and the sea." That translated to a palette of greys and blues executed by Yifat Oren & Associates.

Delta Pre-Grammys Event at the Getty House

MKG produced Delta's pre-Grammy event at the Getty House, all done in a tented party space in the brand's signature red. Seating samples in the event space showed off Delta's Business Elite experience, and a Delta Sky Luxury Bar was meant to give a sample of the experience offered at some Delta Sky Clubs in airports. Jermaine Dupri was the DJ.
