The beauty editor brunch to preview Betsey Johnson's new fragrance, Too Too, was held at Milk Gallery. Organizers took advantage of the clean spare look of the space, creating a ballet-studio-like setting mixed with vintage-style parlor furniture.

As a nod to the perfume's name, Too Too, the production team added tutus to the event's cocktail tables. The scent's graffiti-style graphics adorned white walls, which separated the event space from the backstage area for the dancers.

Pink velvet armchairs and tufted white leather daybeds dotted around the space underscored the girly look of the event, and provided places for guests to sit and eat.

Dressed in black leotards and pink skirts, ballet dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy posed in Milk Gallery's windows throughout the preview.

In addition to the savory breakfast bites, the brunch featured pink frosted cupcakes from the Little Cupcake Bakeshop.

As a subtle way to encourage attendees to promote the event on social media platforms, the pink napkins at the event were printed with Johnson's official Twitter username, @xoBetseyJohnson.

DJs Becka Diamond and Chelsea Leyland spun tunes at the event, providing a decidedly girly playlist of songs that included Madonna hit "Lucky Star" and Abba's "Take a Chance on Me."

Just after 9:30 a.m., Johnson stood before the gathered guests to briefly speak about the fragrance and introduce the morning's performance. Before the entertainment began, the designer playfully asked editors to sing "Happy Birthday," in honor of her 69th birthday, which took place the next day.

A quartet of dancers from the Stephen Petronio Company performed a piece titled "Underland," which includes a score of Nick Cave songs, in front of the gallery's north windows.

Armed with cameras, iPhones, iPads, and video recorders, the guests eagerly captured the performance, which ended with Johnson doing the splits.
