Boston Marriott Long Wharf

Boston Marriott Long Wharf underwent a full renovation in January, and it included the addition of the Harbor View ballroom, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a seasonal patio. The new room holds 200 for receptions, and the terrace can host events for 140. The hotel is within walking distance of Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

Peninsula Sun Terrace

The Peninsula's Sun Terrace rooftop bar in New York offers 2,700 square feet of outdoor space. Decorated to match the color scheme of the adjacent Peninsula spa, the space boasts plush chaise lounges and dining tables in warm saffron and russet-hued fabrics. The terrace can be booked for private events for as many as 75 guests.

2012 Ball on the Mall

Design Cuisine Caterers served beverages in red, white, and blue-colored glasses at the 2012 Ball on the Mall, the only gala allowed on Washington's historic lawn.

Designed to be easy to set up and move, That Lite Thing, available from Eco Advantum Displays is a tool-free panel-and-node exhibition system made from recycled plastics. Semitransparent peel-off PET graphic overlays are easily interchangeable.

MC2's EcoFlex Exhibit Program consists of recyclable open frames made from 65 percent recycled aluminum. The interlocking panels weigh 15 percent less than traditional panels, but are strong enough to build double-decker configurations. The graphics and accessories can be customized. The program includes exhibit components, graphics, shipping, and on-site services. A recent Global Aerospace exhibit (pictured) mixed EcoFlex products with custom and rental properties.

Sky Bar is the rooftop lounge at the Beacon Bar & Grill at Washington's Beacon Hotel. It's open seven days a week seasonally and recently introduced a catering menu for private lunches. Dishes are served buffet-style and intended for groups of at least 40 people.
