BET Honors Dinner

Events by André Wells designed and produced the January 11 BET Honors Dinner in Washington. The event's signature color is purple, which Wells used in several sequined tablecloths from La Tavola. The linens provided sparkle, which was essential because the venue, the U.S. Library of Congress, did not permit candles or any open flames.

After the ceremonies, the newlyweds and their guests headed to a lunch reception, for which Bailey created three separate tabletop looks. The winter table was covered in a sequined linen and was set with Something Different Party Rental's sparkly Silver Sea Sponge glass chargers and blue Ariana goblets.

At Gensler and Herman Miller's vignette, the dining table was surrounded by walls covered in thousands of Hershey's Kisses wrapped in purple foil. Attendees were invited to take one as a symbol of the "many hands it takes to spark positive change."
