1. Metropolitan by Como, Miami Beach

Metropolitan by Como, Miami Beach, the first United States hotel from Como Hotels and Resorts, is slated to open in December. The 74-room hotel will have two restaurants: the seafood fine-dining concept the Traymore, plus a poolside restaurant. Other food and beverage outlets include Met Bar, with premium spirits and champagnes, and the rooftop Como Shambhala juice bar. The hotel will also have a four-room spa and rooftop hydrotherapy pool.

2. The Social Club at Surfcomber

The Surfcomber hotel redesigned its open-air lounge the Social Club. The Kimpton property's lounge features indoor and outdoor seating in a modern tropical color scheme. Its menu features Latin-infused bites such as Bahamian conch tacos and green vegetable gazpacho and libations such as a Pisco punch. The Social Club seats 45 and hosts receptions for 100.

3. The Cypress Room

New from Miami's celebrated chef Michael Schwartz and the Genuine Hospitality Group is the Cypress Room. The design district eatery opened in late March and has an American menu developed around a wood-burning grill and rotisserie and ingredients from small farmers, foragers, and fishermen.

4. MAPS Production House: Studio 255

MAPS Production House, a collection of three event spaces in Miami, has opened Studio 255. The Wynwood arts district venue has a sleek all-white interior for a modern setting for events. It also has outdoor space. The entire venue holds 500 for events.

5. Solare Gardens
5. Solare Gardens

Solare Gardens, an event complex in Doral previously only available for concerts and photo and video shoots, is now available for corporate events. With indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue hosts groups of as many as 2,000 people or smaller events of 75 in its meditation-inspired lounge. The venue offers high-end audiovisual equipment, lush landscaping, and private bars in each area.

Looking for a vegan restaurant for your next event? The new Green Bar & Kitchen offers a menu of plant-based, gluten-free dishes such as cold-pressed juices, super-food salads and smoothies, and heartier items like lasagna and portobello burgers. The clean, modern design with white walls and chairs and light wood tabletops mirrors the theme. The venue seats 35 inside and 25 on the patio; buyouts are available Monday and Tuesday evenings.

7. EB Hotel

The EB Hotel, from the Eurobuilding Hotel Group, opened this summer near Miami International Airport. The hotel targets business travelers and has 133 soundproofed guest rooms. The Orchid Ballroom, which opens this fall, seats 100 people, while the business center offers boardroom-style conference rooms for small meetings. Dining options include Miranda Restaurant, Lobby Bar, and poolside Terrace Bar & Lounge.

8. Brasileiro
8. Brasileiro

Brasileiro, a Brazilian steakhouse, opened in July at the Four Ambassador Suites Hotel in the former Porcao space. The Brickell eatery overlooks Biscayne Bay and seats 300 in the dining room with an enclosed private dining area for 60. An outdoor patio seats 70, and the bar and lounge seats 50.

9. Hialeah Park Casino

Hialeah Park Casino opened in August with 882 slots and 20 poker tables, plus more than one million square feet of flexible outdoor space for events. It also has several standalone venues including the 2,300-square-foot Citation Terrace, which seats 150, and the 2,106-square-foot Turf Club, which seats 140. The casino is an Audubon Bird Sanctuary and has flamingos on its 200-acre grounds.

10. Aloft Miami Brickell

Aloft Miami Brickell, a 160-room hotel, opened August 1. The hotel, Starwood's stylish but more affordable cousin to W hotels, includes nearly 500 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool, and W XYZ bar.
