The Chicago Flower and Garden Show ran at Navy Pier from March 14 to 22. Peach Blossom Creative Designs created an inventive spin on a beer garden, with a tabletop that had a beer bottle chandelier hanging overhead. The vignette also featured "floral kegs" made with cylinder vases, beer bottles, and tubing.

The Incentive Research Foundation's Incentive Invitational

The invitational took place May 27 to 31 at Trump National Doral in Miami. The welcome dinner was held poolside and featured appetizers on a swing-set-like structure decked with patches of grass. The snacks represented the host cities of different Trump properties. New York, for example, came to life with a variety of miniature cheesecakes.

For a more sophisticated pumpkin dessert, Ballantyne hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina, is offering a Pumpkin Tonka Verrine at its Gallery Restaurant throughout October. The dessert, created by hotel pastry chef Noelle Gogg, consists of Valrhona Orelys 35% Blond Chocolate cinnamon namelaka, pumpkin mousse, tonka bean cream, brown butter sponge, and Orelys chocolate garnish.Â

Abigail Kirsch in New York created smoked cheddar-glazed mini doughnuts dusted with peanut brittle for a surprising sweet-and-savory twist on a classic glazed doughnut. To serve them, the caterer repurposed a plate display rack by turning it on its side and threading the doughnuts through.
