Five truckloads' worth of gravel combined with large rocks comprised the setting in which some 300 invited guests dined. More than 150 workers were enlisted to create the set, which was designed to transport guests to dinner on the surface of the moon.

The first meat course consisted of fresh king crab and Granny Smith green apple with thyme crisp, olive oil madeleine, carrot and cumin foam, and an extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette. Also on the menu was filet of veal with eggplant caviar and caramelized basil-infused jus, and dessert of white chocolate demi spheres with mixed berries.

On August 15, Miami PR pro Nick D'Annunzio of Tara Ink hosted an all-neon birthday bash poolside at Thompson Miami Beach. While many parties happen on a pool deck, D'Annunzio incorporated the pool itself into the bash with neon clothing strung up on a line above and inflatables floating within.

The August 27 Tattoos and Tassels party was hosted in the company's new 100,000-square-foot office and design center and had 46 theme areas, including the Love Spell Bar showcasing one of its wedding design concepts with white draping, furniture, a gold bar, and gold accents throughout. Bartenders served cocktails, or 'Love Spells,' in potion-shaped glass bottles.

When it came to her own engagement party, Toronto-based floral designer Michelle Tran of With a Flower sought to create a secret garden within a suite at the Ritz-Carlton, Toronto on July 18. Birch trees adorned the corners of the room with roses and gloriosa lilies on tables, suspended from the ceiling, and incorporated into the chandeliers. The installation of the 25,000 gloriosas and 2,000 pink floyd roses took nearly four days.

'We tried to keep it intimate while still incorporating all those [clients] that were near and dear to us along our journey of the first 10 years,' said Alexandra Rembrac, the company's principal and creative director.

In the BET “We Got You” paviliion produced by Events by Fabulous, fans could check out BET shows in the programming lounge and listen to music at the gospel listening station. Crowds also gathered for meet and greets with cast members from BET shows. Activities included a greenscreen music video booth and a so-called “photo bomb” station to crash snapshots with popular BET celebs.

Events by Fabulous constructed a stage with multiple levels and a high-resolution 12-foot LED display to give fans at home a glimpse into the experience.

At the BET Experience Centric Pavilion, produced by Events by Fabulous, fans watched highlight reels from Centric shows, won prizes solving the Soul Train scramble board, and expressed themselves on a graffiti wall.

The space had a retro look and feel with design elements such as string curtains that broke up the space and vintage studio lights reminiscent of the Soul Train sound stage. Custom architecture throughout the space was inspired by the curvature of the Centric swirl. Custom programming walls showed off the network’s prime-time content, and custom striped carpet design led fans through the pavilion space. Furnishings were inspired by BET logos.

At the annual BET Pre pre-award dinner at Milk Studios, Andre Wells's production and design included vibrant watercolors, peacocks, and an overall ethereal look and feel. Oversize lettering spelled out the event's name. Strong colors and prints were the name of the game.

At the cocktail reception, Andre Wells's team used tones of red, butter, fuschia, purple, teal, green, navy, and midnight blue to create a vivid look. Club sofas, ottomans, and circle chairs from Revelry were all done in the vibrant tones. A live Twitter wall showed guests interacting on social media.

For the dinner portion, Wells's team used muted grays and silver tones. Silver sequin linens topped mirrored tables in various shapes and sizes, and each table featured different chair styles.

'Our biggest challenge in bringing these memes to life was working around the fact that our access to the content itself was seriously limited,' Lundy said. 'We had to approach each meme and understand how it could creatively translate into a work of visual art—while still communicating the meme’s essence to make it inherently recognizable to visitors of our experience.'
