











Samsung showcased its Galaxy Studio from August 6 through the duration of the Games in Olympic Park. The experience gave fans a chance to demo the brand's latest products and test out interactive experiences including a 4-D kayaking virtual reality experience.

Held November 10 at the Washington Hilton’s Columbia Ballroom, Fight for Children's boxing-themed benefit raises money for early childhood education in the metropolitan areas of Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. This year’s event, attended by about 1,900 people, had Under Armour as a presenting sponsor, and raised a record $5.2 million. The event showcased a number of boxing matches, including the IBF/USBA featherweight championship bout between Daniel Franco and Derrick Murray; a Muay Thai fight between Jovan Davis and Terrell Hobbs; and a middleweight bout between Ernesto Berrospe and Isiah Seldon. New in 2016, the Fight Night Party Deck had a reception, interactive elements, tickets to the main event, access to the after-party, and a designated area with a full bar and a buffet-style dinner. #1 Trade Show & Convention
More than 700 cars from 40 domestic and import manufacturers were showcased at the 74th annual event, which was delayed for four days in January due to a snowstorm. The event, produced by the Washington Area New Auto Dealers Association, took place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The trade show also has a Family Fun Zone with entertainment and mascots, indoor riding, and other activities. The 2017 edition will introduce MobilityTalks International, a pre-show symposium on emerging trends connecting drivers with city infrastructures for safer and smarter transportation. Toyota, State Farm, and Market Development Institute are among the event's major sponsors. Next: January 27-February 5, 2017
