Portable fire pits and chairs placed around the park provided spots for guests to relax. While there were three stages with different types of musical entertainment, Eickhoff said the vastness of the park allowed them to create many quiet areas for guests to converse.

Shortly after Orange County formed in 1889, the long-running fair began. It has since grown from a small, community, five-day celebration to a 23-day festival, last year drawing more than 1.3 million visitors for the “Get Your Fair Face On”-theme festivities, marking an uptick from the previous two years. In a new take on the traditional photo backdrop, guests bounced on a trampoline before having their photo taken. Side rails around the custom station kept guests safe.
