

The first floor, which was open to the public, evoked an artist’s lounge. People could design their own flags, screenprint bandanas, and purchase apparel that could be customized with embroidery designs. There was a custom luggage-tag station and a corner with makeup from Milk Makeup.

A corner of the loft was transformed into a live canvas, where people could draw on various objects including a car.

Throughout the evening, local street artist Bandit used spray paint on a 10- by 30-foot canvas, creating a mural to promote world peace.Â

American Express celebrated the launch of its new payment feature Pay It Plan It on October 3 at 207 Front Street, an event space at New York’s South Street Seaport. Experiential marketing company ExtraExtra Creative designed interactive, deconstructed art installations inspired by shopping for the event. The travel store installation featured props, including snorkels, suitcases, beach hats, and a globe.Â

The five meet-ups are all being held at Toms Shoes locations in Los Angeles (pictured), Chicago, Minneapolis, Austin, and New York. The spaces were chosen because they matched the entrepreneurial, inspiring vibe that organizers were looking for.
