


Singer Demi Lovato’s installation is a black-and-white temporary tattoo parlor where guests can turn their personal journey and struggles into art. Five tattoo options, inspired by Lovato’s own tattoos, feature messages of courage and self-confidence.



Guests were invited to play with dogs at a puppy playground. North Shore Animal League provided the dogs, which were available for adoption.

Maggie O’Neill, a Washington-based designer and official National Cherry Blossom Festival artist, debuted her cherry blossom-theme pop-up exhibit March 30. The exhibit, open every Saturday and Sunday at 1643 Connecticut Avenue NW through April 15, features the #FinesInFullBloom installation created from parking tickets. The installation pokes fun at the pink parking ticket that no driver likes to see with a floor-to-ceiling, origami-inspired blossoming structure. The exhibit also features 12 of O’Neill’s pop impressionistic-style paintings, 40 works on paper created specifically for the festival, and cherry blossom-theme merchandise.


Coca-Cola’s gallery space served as a popular photo op area in the Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza. The space combined brand images with Olympic-inspired illustrations depicting Winter Olympic events.

Another drink on Le Méridien’s summer menu is the Royal Rosé: a mix of bourbon, Lilet Rosé, orange bitters, Peychaud bitters, and rosé champagne.

Taco Bell celebrated the Canada debut of its signature Baja Blast drink with a pop-up hair dye salon June 14 to 15 in Toronto and June 16 to 17 in Hamilton. The salon, housed in a tricked out Airstream trailer, offered passersby free dye jobs using Baja Blast-colored Manic Panic hair dye. The activation was produced by Edelman.

At the Epic Games booth, fans could pose with props from Fortnite. Other photo ops included a green-screen activation where guests could hang on a custom-fabricated hang glider; 3-D mapping allowed them to appear in scenes from the game.


MAC Cosmetics partnered with the makeup artist from Netflix’s Glow to host two masterclasses, May 14 at Highline Stages in New York and May 17 at Goya Studios in Los Angeles. Stoelt Productions built two separate life-size hot pink and black boxing rings for the events. The rings were inspired by the premise of the series, which is about actresses in the 1980s who are cast in a TV series about a women’s professional wrestling team.


The third edition of Panorama music and art festival took place July 27 to 29 at Randall’s Island Park in New York. American Express returned with its two-story cardmember club and hospitality space, which was produced by Momentum Worldwide. The island-theme space, which was inspired by the festival venue, had an installation of fabricated palm trees with streamers in multiple colors. Guests were invited to write their advice for living a happy life on the streamers.
