Fairchild Fashion Media's Kristen Wildman worked with XA to create the modern design of the WWD C.E.O. Summit inside the Plaza. A color scheme of bright yellow against white was used throughout, including in the registration desk, giving the decor a clean, uniform look.

For the sponsor lounge, the team set up a digital listening station where guests interacted with a touch-screen monitor to scan through and listen to past Summits and Forum speakers. To reduce paper clutter, each sponsor had a table embedded with an iPad that displayed its company information.

During networking breaks, the conference provided attendees with snacks, artfully matching the yellow and white color scheme.

The streamlined design of the stage in the hotel's Grand Ballroom played up the color scheme while also adding subtle branding with WWD in white, three-dimensional letters.

To boost the event's social media presence, attendees were encouraged to post comments and photos to their preferred social media platform. (According to the organizers, Martha Stewart was one of the Summit's most prolific tweeters.) The planning team also teamed up with FiftyThree to use its sketching app and aggregate the content to a Tumblr page.
