Smart Monday, a pre-IMEX day of education sponsored by M.P.I., emphasized the need for experiential components with a carnival theme this year. The day featured out-of-the-box meeting breaks, like a larger-than-life coloring book and a session with therapy dogs.

Walk in the Park Gala
The University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College’s fourth annual fund-raiser took place October 1 at Daniels Spectrum. Produced and designed by McNabb Roick Events, the gala featured a turf carpet in lieu of a traditional red carpet. A silent auction included dog and cat beds created by Toronto designers.Â

The menu cards at each table featured a photo of a pet submitted by the table purchaser or a sponsor. Each table also featured bedazzled centerpieces inspired by Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dog sculpture.Â
