Town & Country Event Rentals showed off its new 'vineyard' collection, pieces with a rustic, cozy look evocative of an outdoor winery setting. In the exhibit, a striped canopy hung over a tabletop covered in lacy coverings. Fruits and artichokes served as accent pieces alongside etched glassware under hanging chandeliers.

Blu Laser Digital showed off some 3-D technology, which it has already used for events including a Discovery upfront. The company offers 3-D production for presentations and events, which can be viewed with the requisite plastic glasses for a dramatic effect that could elevate the impact of a remote talking head at a meeting. 'Video in 3-D gives the viewer a longer retention,' said Blu Laser's Robert Sullivan on the show floor.

Look for European-based furniture company Blofield Air Design's inflatable furniture to be available locally soon. (The group was at the show looking for a rental house to carry and distribute it in the U.S.A.) Its inflatable armchairs and love seats are available in white and black, and feel sturdy and stable—but are filled with air, so they're easy to transport and store. The pieces work indoors and out.

Europe-based Inflate manufactures inflatable products in shapes right for room or space dividers, exhibits, tents, and other uses. Newer to the company's portfolio is its AirClad line, which has a wooden frame and is more heavily engineered for a more permanent look and feel. All Inflatable products pack small and work well for road shows. The line is more typically sold than rented.
