2. Delta offered hands-free wine tasting with its glass-holding lanyard at the Los Angeles Food and Wine festival in August.

3. Veuve Clicquot’s mail truck—a branded truck that traveled to several states this summer—stopped at Chicago’s Drake Hotel in August, where bottles of the brand's champagne and new product were on display.

4. In June, Austin, Texas's booze-centric event offered chocolate- and lavender-flavored cupcakes with pipettes of tequila and gin inserted into the frosting.

5. As part of a sponsored lounge at the U.S. Open in New York in September, Moët & Chandon displayed its champagne, flutes, and garnishes in an open trunk.

6. In late October and early November, Johnnie Walker hosted a series of tasting events in Austin, which included R.F.I.D.-enabled tables that provided information on the whiskey brand's liquor and allowed guests to share the experience on social media without taking out their phones.

7. At an opening party in September for the new Studio Towers event space at Carnegie Hall in New York, tables were topped with oversize arrangements by Noir Hanna.

10. The July launch for Veuve Clicquot's customized a mail truck invited guests at Lavo in New York to send pre-stamped postcards to friends.

11. At the Chicago music festival in August, Red Bull Sound Select sponsored a lounge area where guests could charge their devices in personal lockers.

12. The musical institution, located outside of Chicago, hosted its annual gala on July 26. Following a performance by Joshua Bell, guests had dinner in a tent with all-blue decor created by Event Creative designer Jeffrey Foster.

13. One of the biggest hotel openings of the year was the Park Hyatt New York, the brand's flagship property. At its opening event in September, guests could view the pool, located on the 25th floor.

14. For its Costume Institute gala in May, the Metropolitan Museum of Art erected an enormous installation of roses fashioned after the work of American couturier Charles James.

15. The Chicago venue opened in February with a Mardi Gras-theme event. Debi Lilly of A Perfect Event decorated a table with sparkly masks and flowers in 2014’s Pantone color of the year: Radiant Orchid.

18. To celebrate the opening of its Magritte exhibition, the museum hosted a gala in June. The event featured decor from HMR Designs, and clouds (a common theme in the artist’s paintings) hung over the dining area.

19. In June, the New York Hilton Midtown hosted a media preview to showcase the newly renovated property as well as the catering menu, which includes a lime panna cotta with strawberry-rhubarb compote, served with pipettes of mint syrup.

20. In September, the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin hosted MOD: a Modern Take on '60s Fashion, where local Austin designers created updated takes on Lady Bird Johnson's wardrobe. A massive red floral arrangement stood at the entrance to the event.
