More than 77,000 art-lovers and professionals come to Miami Beach to see works in a variety of media exhibited by more than 250 galleries representing modern and contemporary artists from around the world. #2 Art & Design Event
A new layout for the 12th annual version of the art fair last year drew record-high attendance for the second year in a row, with returning A-list collectors and celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Martha Stewart, and Calvin Klein joining 37,900 art aficionados at the event’s site next to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Next: June 13-18, 2017

#3 Art & Design Event
The fair, which launches Miami’s annual Art Week, drew a record crowd of more than 78,500 for its 27th edition. For 2017, the fair, along with sister event Context Art Miami, will move to a new location along Biscayne Bay to accommodate the combined 235 galleries participating in the events. Next: December 5-10, 2017

#4 Art & Design Event
The festival brought in Michael Arenella, whose Jazz Age Lawn Party is a hit in New York City, for its 40th anniversary this year. The event draws around 150,000 people who come for the music, dance lessons, a classic car display, kids’ activities, a retro fashion show, and other entertainment. Next: January 12-14, 2018

#5 Art & Design Event
About 120,000 people fill the streets of Coconut Grove on President’s Day weekend to browse paintings, sculptures, and other work by 360 artists. Next: February 17-19, 2018

#6 Art & Design Event
Presented by Art Miami, the sixth year of the contemporary art fair featured more than 60 galleries showcasing the work of nearly 500 artists, and drew 38,500 fans of underground, surrealistic, and graffiti art. Renowned street artist and graphic designer Shepard Fairey was honored with a lifetime achievement award. Next: February 15-19, 2018

#7 Art & Design Event
This year’s market at the DCOTA facility in Dania Beach featured workshops and discussions by design-industry pros on everything from licensing partnerships to rug trends to spa design. Next: Winter 2018

#8 Art & Design Event
Organizers expect 20,000 art-lovers each year at the festival, which supports the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum. Held at the university, the event’s juried art show including paintings, graphic design, photography, sculptures, ceramics, glass, and other works from more than 220 artists. This year marked the 66th edition of the fair. Next: January 13-14, 2018

#9 Art & Design Event
Organized by the Miami New Times and held at the Coral Gables Museum, the ninth annual Artopia featured a carnival theme and attracted 1,500 guests with its exhibits of visual arts, fashion, and musical performances. Next: Winter 2018
