On this episode of "Event Masters," BizBash sits down with Jennifer Savica—vice president and head of corporate events at New York Life Insurance Company—to discuss why it's important for event planners to build confidence and take action on how C-suite management views their role in relation to the business.
Savica shares how the industry currently faces a challenge with event planners being seen merely as executors of tasks, and offers guidance on how organizers can constructively challenge executives and business partners to ultimately shift the narrative and prove their value and worth as subject matter experts and strategists. Also in this episode, event and meeting planners will learn how to handle pushback and difficult conversations with business partners, how to think like a strategist and where to start on the path to changing the C-suite mindset.
