IMPAC Rebrands Itself CSPEP

The Independent Meeting Planners Association of Canada (IMPAC) has changed its name to the Canadian Society of Special Event Planners (CSPEP). The new moniker recognizes the organization’s change in focus since it was founded in 1995, said CSPEP president Heidi Wilker. “Our membership [has] evolved from just meeting and party planners to include special event planners,” she said. The list of services offered by CSPEP members includes coordination of event logistics, registration, and staffing; contracting of guest speakers, venues, transportation services, and exhibit space; and program design, event promotion, and marketing.
