MTV Confirms VMA Move to Los Angeles; Venue Is Paramount Studios

It's official. As we previously reported, MTV will move the Video Music Awards to Los Angeles this year. The confirmation came this morning, with news that the 2008 outing will be held at Paramount Pictures Studios on Sunday, September 7. According to the Associated Press, the network intends to take full advantage of the venue—a corporate cousin within Viacom—with broadcasts from the theater, sound stages, rooftops, and surrounding streets during the course of the night.
