Guests buzzed with anticipation as BMW debuted its 3 Series sedan at the Town & Country BMW dealership, but the carmaker had more to celebrate than its newest model. The event also marked the 30th year of the 3 Series—this was the largest of 40 anniversary events to be held across Canada.
Guests arrived at the dealership to find the new car on display with a male model inside. As dealership owner Jim Cochran and general manager Arthur Madjarian addressed the crowd, the model stepped out of the car. As the introduction concluded, the model peeled off his tearaway business suit to reveal a BMW racing outfit custom designed and manufactured by Farley Chatto Designs.
Sixty Eatertainment staffers attired in custom BMW pit crew jackets co-designed by the catering firm's Sebastian Centner passed a medley of hors d'oeuvres to the crowd. On the menu were tempura sushi lollipops, smoked salmon lollipops, and red and yellow cherry tomato lollipops with bocconcini and purple basil.
Cocktails were created in the three colours of the BMW logo: blue Hpnotiq, served on blue plexiglass trays, a clear lychee drink on white plexiglass, and black grape vodka cocktail served on black plexiglass. DJs from Big Entertainment played music as attendees toured the showroom and posed with the male model.
