1. In December 2008, Stir Food Group opened Zola Wine & Kitchen, a private space that doubles as a chef’s test kitchen, around the corner from sister venues Zola and Spy City Café. The 3,400-square-foot space is comprised of a wine shop and a test kitchen that features a custom dark wood table (on wheels) and a stainless steel suite of appliances. The space can seat 30 or hold 50 for cocktails.
2. CulinAerie opened in November 2008 with two side-by-side kitchen studios and 1,840 square feet of flexible space. The facility encompasses the Culinary Kitchen, which has butcher-block work surfaces and seats 24 for lectures, demos, and wine tastings, and the adjoining Food Works studio, which has stainless steel counters and seats 40 for demos. Both are equipped with commercial ranges, convection ovens, stand mixers, and flat-screen TVs. The venue can accommodate as many as 80 for a cocktail reception.
