Winter Tennis Event Drawing Big Names

There's a new sporting event on the calendar, and it's already drawing big-name supporters. Former French Open doubles champions Luke and Murphy Jensen will host the inaugural Bank of the West Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic on December 8 at the Riviera Tennis Club. Athletes Monica Seles and Jennifer Capriati and entertainers David Duchovny and Gavin Rossdale are among the stars already on board. The full day of tennis (including a pro-am, a kids' clinic, and a pro-celebrity tennis exhibition) plus a gala (dubbed an “Evening With the Stars," to include a live auction) will raise money for youth-oriented charities, including Jensen-Schmidt Tennis Academy for Down Syndrome, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Riviera Foundation. Florida-based C&H Events owns and will operate the new event.
