Situated on the West side of Union Square, the first JackThreads pop-up opened on Friday. Exterior signage promoted the flash-sale site's partner Gillette as well as designated Twitter hashtags for the promotion.

Produced by Empire Entertainment, the pop-up was housed inside a shipping container. The design of the interior was simple, with little embellishments to distract from the metal bunker's industrial look.

The clothing at the temporary store was styled around five key looks for spring, items showcased as an outfit in images displayed on the walls.

Rather than offer free facial hair styling to promote Gillette's new trimmer, JackThreads and Thrillist invited visitors to pose for photos beside their favorite outfits while sporting a fake mustache or beard.

The photos were then displayed on the rear wall, and the winner, chosen after the shop closed at the end of the day Saturday, received the full outfit of his choice.
