Turn 3-D projections into interactive games for guests with help from Montreal-based Luz Studio. For the city’s annual art show Luminothérapie, the visual design firm produced four interactive games inspired by early 20th-century carnival classics, such as shooting galleries and Whack-a-Mole. The games were part of the studio’s Fascinoscope installation, a series of eight large-scale projections on structures around the Quartier des Spectacles from December to February.

The Mint Agency produced several events at Live at the Hive throughout the festival's run. Stationed at 461 King Street West, the venue was part of a traveling property that hosts events catering to celebrities and other V.I.P. guests. The step-and-repeat, inspired by the word "hive," had a honeycomb-like structure with hexagonal slots for sponsor signage. On September 9, there were signs for Nespresso and the film The Third Person (pictured); throughout the week, signage changed to reflect the hosts and films represented at various bashes.

Throughout the weekend, Groupon hosted a tote-making station atop the Pier 92 parking structure. Guests were given an object to find on a giant photo mural, such as a cocktail or a car. Once they located the item, staffers handed them a token that could be redeemed for a screen-printed tote bag.

New Media Party

The New Media Party in Washington, returning for its second year, featured several inventive uses of technology at events. Produced by Event Farm, the party incorporated sponsors such as Vntana, which created holograms of guests that were then projected onto the walls of venue Carnegie Library. Other sponsors included Lyft, Microsoft, AOL, and Yelp, which created a listing for the event and allowed guests to post reviews and photos.

Sponseasy
Sponseasy

Sponseasy allows planners to create professional sponsorship proposals in minutes. Organizers input information about the event, demographic information about the audience, and the various options for sponsorships. The look of the proposal can also be customized with pictures, colors, and effects. Planners distribute the proposal to potential sponsors by sharing a link. During the campaign, planners can track activity through the system’s online dashboard. In July the company announced a partnership with Eventbrite to allow them to import their event information. The system is currently free to use in beta.
