The Los Angeles bar Tenants of the Trees popped up at the Retreat, announcing its presence with a sign hung on an open-frame outdoor bar. The Retreat took over Palm Springs' Korakia Pensione B&B, with various activations throughout the meandering property, including a V.I.P. portrait studio from Vanity Fair.

Sponsor Amazon offered a theater room within the Korakia Pensione to show its programming in a relaxed environment, as guests might watch it in their homes.

Pandora hosted the third installment of its Indio Invasion, produced by Pandora and Stoelt Productions. This year’s event included aquatic performances from synchronized swimmers the Aqualillies, who posed with branded beach balls.

New York Road Runners partnered with New Balance to open its new community running center in Manhattan on January 11. The center, which was designed by Gensler Architecture, Design & Planning, features the N.Y.R.R. logo created in a wall of greenery.




Le Méridien Chicago Oakbrook Center has introduced three new locally inspired menus for meeting breaks. The hotel's Sweet Home Chicago menu offers a variety of self-serve candy that originated in the city, including Lemonheads, Milk Duds, Red Hots, Tootsie Rolls, and Dots. Named after the blues song by Robert Johnson, the candy-shop-inspired display—which also offers pretzel bites and lemonade and iced tea—comes with a chalkboard sign that displays information about the Chicago-founded National Confections Association.


The event featured rows of Casper beds adorned with bottles of champagne and other viewing party goodies including snacks and hand-clappers to get guests in the mood.
