
Comedy series Broad City made its first appearance at Comic-Con with a life-size coloring book activation. Illustrations designed by Broad City artist Mike Perry covered the walls and furniture, and attendees used paint to add color. The activation—which took place at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center—also offered Broad City-inspired manicures and temporary tattoos.

Warner Brothers tapped Grandesign Media to create a promotion for the upcoming horror remake It. Fans were invited to board the run-down bus, sit in chairs that spun 360 degrees, and don VR headsets that brought them inside Pennywise the clown’s house.

Experiential marketing company Ignition produced numerous activations for Coca-Cola, including the Olympic Torch Relay, which the soft drink brand has sponsored since 1996. Branded trucks blared music, and brand ambassadors with Coca-Cola shirts and polar-bear mascot cutouts served as cheerleaders for torchbearers.




An interactive photo-sharing station invited guests to take a photo at the event and share on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #ServeWithACoke. People who used the hashtag could then print out their photo at a Luster photo-printing station to stick on a mosaic, which eventually revealed the image of a burger and a Coke with New York in the background.


For a highly visual—and Instagram-friendly—photo opp, social media prompts served as props against a grassy wall decorated with Veuve bottles at the fourth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park in Los Angeles on October 5. Working with Veuve director of communications Christine Kaculis, BrownHot Events produced the event once again with the chic, subtly branded details that characterize the annual sporting event.
