Last year it was a pool party without a physical pool. This year, experiential agency MKG opted to create its own version the summer games for its annual office party, adding an Olympic theme to everything that filled its SoHo space. That included having the Upright Citizens Brigade pretend to box each other, adding running track decals on the floor, and serving cocktails named after figure-skating rivals Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan. As a playful way to get guests into the spirit as soon as they arrived, MKG turned its entrance-facing reception desk into a judges' panel, with three critics holding up scorecards as each person stepped off the elevator.
