Chad Kaydo, the editor in chief of BizBash, and Howard Givner, the executive director of the Event Leadership Institute, announced today that they are programming a new conference at the BizBash IdeaFest in New York October 24. The Event Innovation Forum will include a curated series of presentations with experts from inside and outside the event and meeting industry.

"We're really excited to share success stories from cutting-edge event marketers, as well as insights from influential people in other fields who can inspire planners," Kaydo said.

"Our goal is to create a TED-style forum, where thought leaders and influencers can stimulate planners with new ideas and innovative approaches to events," Givner said.

The Event Innovation Forum, which will replace the education sessions at previous BizBash trade shows, will include three 90-minute sessions packed with a mix of presenters and presentation types, as well as a seated lunch and opportunities for attendees to speak directly with the presenters. Participants will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We’re talking to some really smart people who can share some big ideas as well as behind-the-scenes information about how they’ve pulled off very successful, innovative projects,” Kaydo said. “There will be great takeaways for marketers and producers who do all kinds of events, meetings, fund-raisers, conferences, and trade shows.”

Registration for the conference will open later this week; tickets for the conference are $295, which includes the luncheon, admission to the IdeaFest trade show floor, and online video-on-demand courses from the Event Leadership Institute.

BizBash and the Event Leadership Institute will present versions of the Event Innovation Forum at the BizBash IdeaFest shows in other cities, starting with Chicago on November 14.
