* INCOMING *
1. PINTEREST PROMOTIONS: Pinterest analytics firm Pinfluencer is launching Pinterest Promotions today, which will allow brands to hold sweepstakes and contests on Facebook or brand sites that link up to Pinterest. AdWeek: "In addition to standard stats like total number of pins, repins, clicks, and page views, marketers can track revenue from purchases that stemmed from a contest. Pinfluencer can also calculate the total potential reach of contest-related pins and the influencer scores of participating users. Brands can use that data to see what content performs best on Pinterest, but down the line they could use it to inform off-Pinterest advertising." http://bit.ly/PDMLTE

Titled "The H-I-T Factor: How Humanity, Imagination & Truth Will Define the Next Generation of Market Leaders," the speech will be about "building brand value in a world of inter-connected consumers and accelerating change, along with PepsiCo examples of how this approach works in practice." Despite a major year in events like the London Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, business has slowed. AdAge: "The IPA's Bellwether report, which tracks the budget plans of 300 of the U.K.'s top marketers, shows that during the third quarter of 2012, 23 percent of companies reduced their spending forecasts for the next year. Only 18 percent plan to increase spending, with the rest keeping forecasts unchanged." http://bit.ly/Ra87oD
