The Here to Help at Risk Youth space asked fans to write encouraging messages to at-risk youth. The note cards were placed in hygiene supply kits and donated to local nonprofits. Participants also received a stenciled tattoo. At the Here to Help Hunger House, participants assembled food kits of non-perishable items, which were then donated to local food banks. For each activity completed, festivalgoers earned pins that could be traded for branded swag. Following its debut at Governors Ball, the Neighborhood of Good, which was produced in conjunction with Live Nation, will be on site at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lake Shake, and other festivals.

Don Julio Tequila x Infatuation

For the fourth year in a row, Tequila Don Julio was on site, serving up craft cocktails via a 1967 vintage Airstream Speakeasy. And for the second year in a row, the tequila brand teamed up with restaurant review site Infatuation for the #AgaveAndEEEEEATS happy hour at the festival’s "Best Kept Secret" area. The space featured a swing set photo booth and the Tequila Don Julio vintage pick-up truck.

For this year’s event, Stoelt Productions ditched the traditional gala format, instead creating mini “studios” based on those at the Inner-City Arts campus so attendees could experience what the organization offers its students. The event was held at City Market Social House in Los Angeles in October.

In October, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Arsht Families hosted its children’s Imagination Ball. The afternoon event featured immersive activities and a light and dance show by iLuminate on the Lynn Wolfson Stage of the Ziff Ballet Opera House.

An outdoor space, known as the C2 Village, included a tiki bar in a casual atmosphere that encouraged guests to mingle. C2 sponsors had their own lounges in numbered shipping containers. Guests could also mingle on the C2 Melbourne dock, a nod to the conference's expansion to Australia. Presentations were held in the Cirque du Soleil 360 Big Top pop-up circus tent, which debuted last year.

Each year the conference introduces new lab experiences. At the Migration installation—a traveling clay sculpture from artist Mat Chivers—an artificial intelligence machine designed by Element AI digitally scanned more than 2,000 handprints, which will travel to Concordia University to be kiln fired this summer. The digital scans will be used as training data, resulting in a single file output—the first of its kind created by an A.I. machine—that will be cut into a block of impactite (impact glass) using robot milling technology.

Conversation Market Nespresso, an industrial space sponsored by the coffee brand, held daily collaborative sessions. Participants were separated into groups and were invited to discuss topics on a screen that corresponded to the color of the circle where they stood. Topics included the future of urban design, digital privacy and security, and how to reduce one's ecological footprint.

The Museum of Modern Art honored Quentin Tarantino in 2012, choosing not to plaster the walls with explicit references to the filmmaker's iconic movies. Instead, the New York art institution crafted a more subtle homage with a color palette of indigo and a commissioned sketch of Tarantino. Nathan Milner's sketch—artwork commissioned by Tarantino that depicted the director and iconic characters from his films—was incorporated into visuals, used on the step-and-repeat, and printed on the dinner program.

For the first-ever event marking its annual list of Game Changers in 2010, the Huffington Post wanted to produce an interactive experience that would appropriately honor the leaders and innovators selected by the five-year-old news site's readers. The awards were bestowed on 100 individuals, people who used new media to make a global impact in fields as diverse as business, politics, sports, and food, and scrolling projector displays mimicked the way the Huffington Post presents content online. The changing text also served to educate attendees on the works of each Game Changer honoree. David Stark produced the event at Skylight Soho in New York.

TD Bank's employee recognition dinner—called the “Wow” awards—got a major format change in 2009, meant to avoid the feeling of a typical dinner and presentation. The event shrunk from 2,000 people to 100, with the 27 honorees, their guests, and TD Bank senior execs all siting at a single amoeba-shaped table.
