Social Twenty-Five took over the former Moda space in March, replacing the swank nightclub with a sports bar and lounge. Filled with slatted walnut wood, leather banquettes, and mounted rock guitars, the new spot can accommodate groups of 400; hosts can also rent out one of two floors.
On the 300-capacity upper level, a small stage accommodates bands, and venue owners can arrange for live entertainment. Throughout the space, some 18 plasma-screen TVs allow for hookup to laptops or DVD players; for more casual events, they can be tuned to Comcast sports. Leather banquettes line an elevated area across from the main bar, and the back of the room houses a DJ booth.
With its own bar and six additional plasma-screen TVs, the lower level can seat 50 or host cocktail receptions for 100.
Social Twenty-Five's menu offers bar staples such as cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken strips; the venue's owners also work with a list of preferred caterers and restaurants.
