Vegas isn't all velvet ropes and V.I.P.s. Here's three mega-eateries that are all about laid-back good times.
1. If oversize cocktails and giant servings of finger foods are in order, Dick's Last Resort is the palce to go. This kitschy national chain opened in the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in June 2007, serving bar food while guests enjoy live entertainment from house cover bands. The 11,000-square-food restaurant, which is available for private events, includes 185 indoor seats and room for an additional 167 outside.
2. New York's RUB BBQ (as in "Righteous Urban BBQ") opeend a Las Vegas branch in December 2007 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The 9,000-square-foot restaurant serves Paul Kirk's signature Kansas City-style BBQ and ribs for lunch and dinner. The 200-seat venue has a 30-seat bar and features live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
3. Harrah's opened Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon in March 2007 in the former Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino space. Bill's features 197 guest rooms and 13 deluxe suites, a 30,000-square-foot casino, and a 66-seat casual restaurant, the Steakhouse at Bill's, which has a private dining room for 16.
