At the center of the lobby, an open area called Mingle offers a wide variety of seating options suitable for small groups or private conversations. The new lobby bar, Mixx, has launched a cocktail program focusing on classic drinks like the Sazerac and Moscow Mule along with modern interpretations of the Caipirinha and many others.
In addition to Mixx and Mingle, the lobby has three other spaces that can be reserved for private groups with minimum food and beverage guarantees. Relax can accommodate groups of 80 using a mix of lobby space and a seating area that can be enclosed with drapes. Explore is a modern take on the library—with a 24-arm Murano glass chandelier, flat panel TV, and shelves full of new and classic books—that holds 25. Rounding out the trio of private spaces is Indulge, which can be enclosed for groups of as many as 40 and, like several of the other spaces, offers a range of high-tech amenities like an iPod plug-in and laptop-to-display connectivity.
