1. Social Media Week

Roughly 3,000 digital marketing professionals hailing from more than 50 countries participate in Social Media Week each year. The three-day event, held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, provides attendees with a forum to share insights and discuss strategies for how to use social media to advance their businesses. The 2020 event, themed Human.X, will focus on taking a human-first and experience-driven approach to marketing in the digital age. Speakers will include executives from Facebook, Refinery20, Vox Media, Heineken, and H&M, among others. Next: May 5-7, 2020

2. TechDay New York

More than 300 startups, tech companies, and industry innovators showcase their products during TechDay New York, which returns for its ninth year in 2020. Since it began in 2012, the event has continued to grow, moving from Pier 94 to the Jacob K. Javits Center in 2019. Last year’s expo drew 15,000 attendees, who experienced features like the Startup Stage sponsored by Amazon Web Services, a kickoff party hosted by Google, Shark Tank’s East Coast casting call, and a new networking and matchmaking app. The 2020 event will feature a new Founders Summit, a program for the founders of the exhibiting startups held the day after TechDay. 3. New York Tech MeetUp

Founded in 2004 by the NY Tech Alliance, the monthly New York Tech Meetup offers developers the chance to present their products to upwards of 300 savvy attendees. Events in 2019 addressed topics like food technology, artificial intelligence, and travel technology, and the organization’s first Job Fair in April was a particular highlight. Agenda items in store for 2020 include clean technology, diversity in the field, and to-be-announced partner events. Next: March 3, 2020

4. CE Week

Representatives from Samsung, Verizon, CNET, and Google were among the featured speakers at 2019’s CE Week, a marketplace and trade show for the North American consumer electronics industry. Set at the Jacob K. Javits Center, the two-day event is produced in cooperation with IFA in Berlin and brings together industry stakeholders. Seeking to bring in more female attendees at this year’s event, organizers have partnered with Tech Up for Women. Next: June 10-11, 2020
