1. SUPER BOWL WEEKEND: Rolling Stone has partnered with the Crane Bay events venue in Indianapolis to hold its first ever weekend of events tied to the sporting event. The festivities begin Saturday, February 4, with a party at an industrial warehouse in honor of Bacardi's 150th anniversary with performances from award-winning artists. Sunday, Rolling Stone will host the "Rock & Roll Tailgate party" for both Super Bowl attendees and local residents. Classic tailgate food will be served. More than 6,000 attendees are expected. 3. HOTEL LOBBY MEETINGS: Sheraton, Marriott, and Hilton are among the brands redesigning their lobbies as multi-use spaces that can be used for business meetings. ABC News: "The investment, so far, is paying off: As revenues from in-room amenities such as pay-per-view movies and telephones dry up, hotels are reporting higher food and beverage sales in their public spaces."

4. CLEAR CHANNEL HIRE: The global media and entertainment company has named Bob Stohrer to the newly created position of C.M.O.-digital. Stohrer will lead all marketing activities for iHeartRadio. Mayor Rahm Emanuel apologized in advance for any inconveniences that the NATO and G-8 summits may cause in May—including the disruption of proms and other springtime events. But his overall tone on Tuesday was hopeful: "We are a big city, a big metropolitan area...Whether it’s proms or weddings, we will be able to figure out a way…to accommodate” those events. “[The summits are] a one-time opportunity for the city.”

LOS ANGELES: The Recording Academy has partnered with FX Marketing Group to offer the official program book for the 54th Grammy awards show to fans for the first time in bookstores and on newsstands nationwide. The book will be on sale starting in mid-January in major U.S. markets. The show is slated for February 12 at the Staples Center.
This month, the House of An's Tiato Kitchen Bar Garden & Venue is celebrating the holiday season with a series of pop-up chef events showcasing molecular menus. Upcoming events are December 15 and 29, and are open to the public with reservations required.

NEW YORK: Last night, Smart Car hosted a Christmas party at bowling alley the Gutter in Williamsburg. Two Smart Cars wrapped in holiday designs were on display, sliders and candied apples were served, and guests received gift bags with Smart Car bowling shirts.
The Apollo Theater continues its Kwanzaa tradition with its fifth annual Regeneration Night celebration December 30. This year's program will feature the New York dance company Forces of Nature Dance Theatre and musicians Craig Harris and Tailgaters Tales.
ORLANDO: The American Kennel Club/Eukanuba National Championship is Saturday and Sunday at the Orange County Convention Center. Nearly 4,000 dogs are entered in the competition, making it the largest show in the event's history. This is the first time the competition has been in Orlando since 2002. It is scheduled to remain here through 2015.
TORONTO: The largest purchase in Canadian sports history was announced this past Thursday. Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment was purchased by rival telecom companies Rogers and Bell Canada for $1.32-billion. The two will split their majority stake 50/50.
