W South Beach Hotel & Residences partnered with W Hotels Worldwide to host a welcome reception for travel trade show LE Miami on June 11. Some 300 industry pros gathered at the alfresco function, which had cigar rollers, a Sailor Jerry rum bar, body-painted models, and digital social media screens to records guests' reactions to all the spectacle.
Organizers from W South Beach worked with Feed Magnet—which aggregates social media feedback from Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook into one page—on the evening's social component. One dedicated Web page was built out to W's brand standards. Dedicated hashtags, #WTravel and #LEMiami, all linked to the page, which was managed by the hotel's social marketing manager, Matthew Peschke.
