1. J&G Grill
Jean-Georges Vongerichten's J&G Grill at the newly opened St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort offers a private dining option for 14 people for a seated dinner or 20 for a cocktail reception.

2. Spin Ultra Lounge
The Boca Raton spot, Spin Ultra Lounge, has many options for entertaining groups of 50 or less, including a lower level known as the "pit," an upper-level bar, an outdoor cabana area with high-top tables and bar, or an upstairs area with high-top tables.

3. South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center
The dance rehearsal studio at the new South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center can be used for rehearsals and other events for groups of 50 and up to 129.

4. Breathe
The V.I.P. area at downtown Delray Beach restaurant, lounge, and bar Breathe holds 25 and has its own butler, bottle service, and flat-screen TVs.

5. Chalk Ping Pong and Billards Lounge
The 6,600-square-foot Chalk venue has private rooms for ping pong and billards that can accommodate groups of 15 or less. Each room has customizable audio systems that can be controlled via iPhone.

6. Hotel Breakwater
Hotel Breakwater is having its grand opening in March and offers its 980-square-foot Edison Suite for product launches, cocktail receptions, and other events. The space can hold 50 and up to 80.

7. PL8 Kitchen & Side Bar
Downtown Fort Lauderdale's PL8 Kitchen & Side Bar has a dimly lit main dining room and bar area as well as extensive patio seating for intimate groups for cocktails.

8. D'Angelo Trattoria
Chef Angelo Elia and architect Alfredo Leon transformed a 1920s Delray Beach cottage into the 120-seat D'Angelo Trattoria in early November. The back terrace and front porch can fit small groups for wine or dinners.

9. Le Club at the Regency Hotel Miami
The 5,550-square-foot Le Club venue, part of the completed Regency Hotel Miami renovation, holds 320 guests but has small sitting niches with leather club chairs and tables for eight or more.
