
Open since September, Kung Fu Saloon is an uptown beer-and-games spot that serves 24 tap beers and has 20 vintage stand-up arcade games, shuffleboard, foosball, and Skee-ball. Two private karaoke rooms can be reserved for as many as 10 people.

Three bars and 30 TVs fill sports-centric 6th Street Bar Uptown on busy Routh Street. An Austin-inspired menu of burgers, tacos, and sandwiches is served alongside draft beers. Exposed bricks and dark wood fills the main level; the copper-accented second-floor space is available for private events.

An offshoot of a Houston venue, Max’s Wine Dive has been open since September. The brick-walled interior has booth seating set around a 50-foot bar. An extensive wine list is served alongside creative comfort food like oyster nachos and pork-stuffed piquillo peppers. A private event space holds as many as 60.

Open since September, 5,000-square-foot Sisu Uptown Resort is a bar, restaurant, and party space with a view of the Dallas skyline and an outdoor saltwater pool surrounded by palm trees and cabanas. The pool deck can be reserved for events, and there is also a private dining room.

In June, Highland Park Village’s Bistro 31 added 31 Lounge, a 1,000-square-foot champagne lounge serving 20 types of bubbly alongside a selection of caviar and foie gras. The setting includes midcentury-inspired chandeliers, highly tufted settees, leather accents, and mirrors above the bar. The lounge holds 50 for events.
