Here's a look at new Atlanta hotels, conference centers, restaurants, private rooms, and other spaces to open for events this spring. The new and renovated Atlanta venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fund-raisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, teambuilding activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

Decatur Southern restaurant and cocktail lounge the Pinewood completed a renovation in January. Expanding into an adjacent space, the 1,750-square-foot restaurant now has a new dining room that seats 110, a lounge, and a private dining area that seats 125 or holds 175 for cocktails. The restaurant, which is owned by Mike Blydenstein, Brooks Cloud, and Julian Goglia, offers new menu additions with locally sourced ingredients from chef Andy Jackson.

Located next to the Infinite Energy Center, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta NE Gwinnett Sugarloaf opened in January. For meetings and events, the 166-suite hotel has five spaces, including a 1,232-square-foot pre-function space that holds 100 for receptions and a 3,528-square-foot ballroom that holds 300 for receptions or seats 450 theater-style. The property also is home to a Southern restaurant called the E'terie and a new indoor pool.

AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown from Marriott is slated to open in the Centennial Park District in April. Formerly a Holiday Inn, the property was acquired by Peachtree Hotel Group and has undergone a $20 million renovation and rebrand. The 11-floor hotel will have 250 rooms and five suites, along with an American restaurant called AC Lounge. For meetings, a 1,350-square-foot meeting room will seat 120 theater-style.

Scout, an American gastropub from restaurateur Chris Martha, opened in Oakhurst in December. With a menu helmed by chef Michael Semancik, the restaurant serves Southern-inspired dishes—including ricotta and collard green dumplings, hickory chuck rib, and twice-fried chicken quarters—made with local and regional ingredients. The 4,581-square-foot restaurant seats 162 in a main dining room and a pet-friendly patio. A private dining room seats 14.

American restaurant Atlas at the St. Regis Atlanta hotel debuted a new space called the Tavern at Atlas in January. Available for social gatherings, the newly designed 1,200-square-foot library and lounge offers live music, small plates from Atlas executive chef Chris Grossman, and a variety of cocktails. The space, which features gold tones, velvet, and faux ostrich upholstery, seats 45. Additionally, the rest of the restaurant seats 90 in a main dining room and 50 on an outdoor patio. A private dining room seats 16, and a semiprivate chef's table seats 12.

Latin American and Southern concept Escobar Restaurant and Tapas opened in Castleberry Hill in December. Owned by Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz and Michael Dillard, the restaurant offers a menu helmed by chef DePhon Robinson and also offers a hookah menu. The 2,800-square-foot space seats 200 and offers private V.I.P. dining options with bottle service for groups of as many as 10.

C&S Chowder House opened in Roswell in October. The New England-inspired seafood restaurant, which was opened by restaurateurs Rich Clark and Jonathan Schwenk, offers dishes including clam chowders, lobster rolls, and oysters from a raw bar. The 4,000-square-foot space, which has an interior with a New England-style nautical design, seats 120.

Local food truck Yumbii, which serves Asian and Mexican street food-inspired fare, opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Brookwood Village in October. Fusion dishes include panko-crusted fish tacos, spicy pulled pork sliders, and Asian rib-eye Philly's. The 1,440-square-foot space offers counter service and seating for 46. The entire space is available for buyout.

Indian-American fusion restaurant Amara opened in Inman Park in November. Chef Bhavesh Patel's menu offers dishes including staples such as chicken tikka masala and chicken and seafood biryani, as well as tandoor-cooked quail, octopus, and masala prawn. The 1,500-square-foot restaurant seats 150 and is available for full buyouts.

Chef Robert Phalen of One Eared Stag will open his second concept, Mary Hoopa's House of Fried Chicken & Oysters, in East Lake's Hosea & 2nd development in March. Along with fried chicken and oysters served a variety of ways, the restaurant also will offer bivalves and dishes from One Eared Stag. The 2,400-square-foot space, which will have a design inspired by an old Southern country grocery store, will seat 109.
