Spokespeople for the just-wrapped fashion trade show Magic are keeping quiet as to many of the show details, but Women's Wear Daily reported that buzz from retailers at the show suggested its next installment may take over a new venue. According to the report, Magic and Project may together take over Mandalay Bay starting in February—where as Magic has been at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and Project is at the Sands Expo Center. It would be the first time Magic and Project showed in the same place, a boon for retailers who have had to run all around town during the event. The grapevine suggests an announcement will be made when a plan is finalized.
Magic president Chris DeMoulin had no comment for the WWD report, but said he was satisfied with the current show, and that exhibitor numbers, attendees, and square footage were all up (general figures we also reported for our Magic report, here, without additional show-provided specifics).
