The premiere of Big Hero 6 featured an oversize prop that paid homage to the fictional city of San Fransokyo.

Walt Disney Animation Studios premiered its latest film, Big Hero 6, at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre on November 4. The film is set in the futuristic town of "San Fransokyo," which combines elements of Tokyo and San Francisco. Inspired by that fictional setting, the red carpet area was decked with a structure that resembled a mini Golden Gate bridge with Japanese-inspired torii gates.

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is on a mission to support the return of live events and entertainment with a new outdoor theater and six-month-long festival.

Construction of the Dr. Phillips Center's outdoor theater is underway. Its debut will be marked by the opening night of the six-month-long Frontyard Festival on Dec. 5. The ongoing live entertainment fest will bring back in-person events in a safe, socially distant setting.
